Specialty Training, Inc. was founded in 2002 by Darin Rell. As an Exercise Specialist at St. Luke’s Rehabilitation institute and the prior Fitness Director for Deaconess Medical Center, the core of the company has been focused on conditioning the body with proper form and conditioning. Specialty Training has been established as a leader in Personal Training, Post-Rehabilitation, and sport specific training programs for both adults and youth.
Whether you're coming back from an injury, looking to train for an up-coming event, or just looking for a gym to call home, we have many different options for you and your family to reach your full athletic potential.
With our gym membership you’ll have access to both of our Valley and Downtown locations. All members are supported by a professional training staff and will experience nothing but positive fitness comradery between staff and other members. We take care to never overcrowd the facilities with more members than can be comfortably accommodated to make sure your experience is a great one.
Every individual is unique, which means their training program should be as well. At Specialty Training, we will gauge your needs, goals, and limitations to develop the best workout program for you, and only you.
We want you to make sure that your money is well spent, that's why at specialty training, we want you to see what makes us different! Have one day on us to get a feel for the place and the people before deciding which plan you want to start out with.

In 2014 we established the Specialty Training Boxing Program. Our downtown facility has a designated boxing gym with a modified ring, heavy bags and speed bags. Our program is led by Danny Thomas, who holds a level 2 certification from USA Boxing. We currently have 8 sponsored fighters who fight competitively. In addition, we also offer programs for beginners, intermediate, and advanced athletes. A majority of our participants never plan on actually fighting in a ring. They value learning the skills of self defense while at the same time increasing strength and cardiovascular fitness.
We have two different locations in Spokane that each offer unique facilities. Our Downtown location offers 7000 square feet of useable space as well as a dedicated boxing studio complete with its own ring. Our new Spokane Valley location has full indoor training facilities that can accommodate year-round outdoor sports training.View Locations
